Framed Earing Holder

For a church activity I was putting together framed earring holders, it was really quite simple and cheap to do. First I went to Walmart and got a cute frame for $5, and sawtooth picture hangers for $1, then went to Lowe's and found some sunscreen material you can buy by the foot, and got my trusty staple gun. I took out the glass and cut out the back of the frame with a box cutter knife, then cut out a piece of sunscreen material to cover the back and used my staple gun to secure it in, just pull tight and staple at an angle so the staples don't go through the top of the frame. For only about $6, it turned out really cute. I've also gotten a old key hook to hang my necklaces and bracelets from (Thanks Anna for the idea), I hooked on a child's fabric belt that I attach all my clips to that way I see what I have instead of digging through a drawer for it ;)

Bottle cap necklaces

Been itching to make some bottle cap necklaces for my daughter. So went to Hobby Lobby and found the bottle caps in the scrapbooking section and the epoxy stickers. I cut out of card stock the image I wanted to use with a 1 inch punch and glued it to the bottle cap with E6000, don't use too much glue or it will seep through the image and leave a watermark. Then placed the epoxy sticker on top to seal it. I drilled a hole at the top to put a jump ring in and attach the 18in ball chain necklace, and a hole at the bottom to attach some beads. So easy and cute!

Tiered Cake stand

Recently on Pinterest Click Here I saw a cute 3 tired cake stand someone made from things at a thrift shop. With my daughter's birthday looming I thought I'd attempt to make one. Unfortunately I wasn't as lucky as the original she made it for $6, I however found the candlesticks at the local Goodwill, and 2 cake pans at the Dollar store but had to buy the big one so my total was $16. I think it was totally worth it. I'm sure I'll be using this for baby showers, and game nights, etc...
